Accessibility Statement

My portfolio is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of my portfolio do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, including:

• Standard font (Artega) used for titles, is a free font that requires customization to be minimally legible. Also, it's foreign and lacks Portuguese characters such as accents.
• The list of companies and clients I've worked with does not have keyboard navigation control.

In addition to these issues, I aim to meet as many AAA criteria as possible, as AA honestly isn't enough.

Tests Performed

All tests were conducted by myself, using:

• Automated accessibility testing tools (Axe and Wave) to capture up to 30% of errors.
• Responsiveness and text resizing up to 200%.
• Keyboard navigation.
• Manual testing of navigation with VoiceOver on Safari and iOS.

Future Improvements

• Dark mode according to operating system.
• Some element may not respond adequately to 400% resizing.
• Bring more visual resources such as icons to make reading dense texts like the resume lighter.
• Translation to English and Spanish.
• Invite tester colleagues with disabilities, so I can be more certain that it is usable and not strictly based on minimum standards (such as WCAG).

Feedback

I am confident that I am nowhere near 100% in terms of accessibility compliance (or my accessibility goal beyond compliance) and I am committed to doing better.
