Accessibility Statement

I created this portfolio using semantic HTML and CSS with the intention of being usable before being flashy (also known as probably inaccessible).

Why? I want everyone to have an equitable experience because it's better for everyone and also a human and civil right.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Conformance Status

My portfolio is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of my portfolio do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, including:

In addition to these issues, I aim to meet as many AAA criteria as possible, as AA honestly isn't enough.

Tests Performed

All tests were conducted by myself, using:

Feedback

I am confident that I am nowhere near 100% in terms of accessibility compliance (or my accessibility goal beyond compliance) and I am committed to doing better.

If you encounter any issues while navigating this site, please contact me with your feedback.

Why bother with all this effort?

If I used a portfolio creator like Wix or Squarespace, I would have chosen to exclude people who use assistive technologies and have various features of getting to know me.
